Interested in being a police officer, firefighter, or paramedic?

Reminder:

The Chicago Police and Firefighter Training Academy is a free program for high school sophomores interested in public safety careers.

This 2-year after school program fulfills your career education or elective credit requirements. It can also lead to a paid summer internship, helps fulfill state certification requirements for jobs in law and safety, and guarantees a FULL tuition waiver to any of the City Colleges of Chicago!

To qualify, you must:

-Be a Chicago resident
-Be a high school sophomore and have a 2.0 GPA or higher and a 95% attendance rate
-Complete an application
-Have 2 letters of recommendation
-Have parent permission
-Have a valid state ID, current physical exam, background check, and drug test

The application is available online and will be due April 26, 2010.
