Hispanic Scholarship Fund/General Scholarships - ($1-$5,000 – Due December 15)

HSF/ General College Scholarships are designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a college degree. Scholarships are available on a competitive basis to: Graduating High School Seniors Community College Students Community College Transfer Students Undergraduate Students Graduate Students Award amounts generally range from $1,000 to $5,000. Eligibility Requirements Be of Hispanic heritage  Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME in a degree seeking program at a two or four year U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam during the 2011-2012 academic year Be pursuing first undergraduate or graduate degree

AXA Achievement Scholarship ($10,000 – Due December 15)

The AXA Achievement^sm Scholarship in association with U.S. News & World Report   provides $670,000 in annual scholarships to young people throughout the nation.

Fifty-two winners – one from each state, the District of Colombia and Puerto Rico – are selected by our nonprofit partner, Scholarship America, to receive one-time scholarship awards of $10,000 each.

From the pool of 52 state winners, ten are selected as national winners and earn an additional one-time scholarship of $15,000. This brings the top AXA Achievers total scholarship awards to $25,000 each. These top ten also receive the offer of an internship with AXA.
Our scholarships winners are known as AXA Achievers. They are ethnically and economically diverse, but they share these qualities:

• Ambition and drive
• Determination to set and reach goals
• Respect for self, family and community
• Ability to succeed in college

Some of the remarkable accomplishments of our past AXA Achievers include: setting up a food bank in their community; designing a curriculum to get kids interested in science; founding a nonprofit organization for young people that encourages community service and civic involvement.
