Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Zeta Tau Zeta Chapter in partnership with Zeta Tau Zeta White Rose Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce The “Diamond Dove” Achievement Awards. Scholarships are given in honor of members of the chapter who have dedicated fifty or more years of service to the Sorority. A commemorative award named in honor of deceased member, Ernestine Curry, will also be presented to a student pursuing a career in education or social services. Mrs. Curry's staunch commitment to education inspired many students to reach their professional goals and become successful contributors within their communities. Awards will be presented to eligible graduating African-American female high school seniors and eligible past recipients in the Chicago area.
High School Applicant Eligibility:
• African American female student
• Resident of the State of Illinois
• Graduating high school senior
• Pursuing a full time undergraduate, academic bachelor’s degree
from an accredited college or university
• Beginning college freshman as of the 2011 fall semester
• Cumulative unweighted G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher
Application Materials:
• Completed scholarship application
• Typed essay (2 pages maximum)
• 2 professional letters of recommendation
• Current, valid high school transcript *
• ACT/SAT Scores
• Current picture (non-returnable)
* 7th Semester transcript will be requested if not
available at time application is submitted.
Deadline is January 21.
