KAREN LYNNE HARRIS, a charter member of Zeta Zeta Chapter, held the sorority in very high regard and was an active and financial supporter of the organization since joining on the campus of Illinois State University on April 16, 1977. Karen was born into eternity on September 22, 1998 and in her memory, Zeta Zeta Chapter annually awards college scholarships to female high school seniors who hold a high standard for academics. Since the inception of the Karen Lynne Harris Memorial Scholarship, Zeta Zeta Chapter has awarded thousands in scholarships.
Applicant must:
- Be Female
- Reside in the Chicago land area (Chicago and its surrounding suburbs)
- Posses a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better
- Participate in community service
The deadline for complete scholarship applications (including all supporting documentation) to be postmarked is April 30th. Winners will be notified no later than May 27th and the scholarship will be awarded no later than June 30th.
