ACT Test-Taking Tips/Tour of Truman College this Saturday

Many of you will be re-taking the ACT test this Saturday (possibly tomorrow).

For those of you taking the exam at Truman College, the school will be hosting a free tour Truman's programs and services from 1:45-2:30 pm, including their new student services building. We will have a light lunch provided from 1-1:45 pm for every one who wishes to stay for the tour, meeting in the dining hall on the first floor.

Here are some tips for the exam:

-Don't cram tonight! It is more important at this point that you rest and relax. Reviewing materials is okay, but don't exhaust your mind (you'll need to be energized tomorrow).
-Read ALL directions... carefully
-GUESS! If you don't know the answer, it doesn't hurt to guess. Try to rule out any answers you know are wrong. DO NOT leave any blank answers.
-Get a good night's sleep and wake up early (and come for free breakfast at KP). You don't want to still be waking up during the test.
-Eat a good breakfast high in proteins. Peanut butter will provide energy to get you through the test.
-Wear comfortable clothes so you are relaxed
-Remember a calculator
-Be confident. If you don't do as well as you hoped... you can re-take the test as many times as possible.
