Independence Day Scholarship Essay Contest
  • To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be US citizens currently attending school in the United States or in an American military school outside of the country. 
  • To apply for this scholarship, applicants must write an essay of at least 1,500 words on the theme "I declare! What it took to declare our independence." 
  • Essays will be evaluated on creativity, theme development, clarity of ideas, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. Note that the word count requirement is taken very seriously; essays that are less than 1,500 words (even 1,499 words) will be disqualified.
  • Deadline: July 2, 2012
