The Hispanic Center of Excellence (HCOE) in partnership with the Latin American Recruitment and Educational Services (LARES) Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is offering a summer academic enrichment program for Chicago high school students. Program participants will have the opportunity to engage in a series of seminars that will enhance their skills in science reasoning and mathematics in order to prepare for the ACT; be introduced to workshops geared towards college readiness and career exploration in the health sciences; and will receive a stipend for their participation pending the successful completion of the program. The program will take place from Monday, June 21, 2010 to Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at UIC.
